Boat building continues, erecting the main frames on the strongback for my new sailboat!

This is the fourth episode of the 18’ sailboat build and is all about erecting the main frames in position on the strongback. This is not a complicated operation but does take time and shouldn’t be rushed. It’s just too easy to make several simple mistakes.

Before mounting the main frames, I had to make several “mounts” or “jigs” of the proper height to set the main frames on and make sure they were all the proper distance apart. A more precise explanation is given in the video.
