Once again, it’s that time of year where I scratch my head and wonder where the time went as the warm season here in Downeast Maine has high tailed it out of here. The cold season (“Wintah”) which lasts for most of the year is now approaching quite fast with a vengeance.

I’m a bit behind my prepping chores as I recover from another recent surgery, but I have to get going fast if I’m going to get everything in order before the snow flies!

I’ve included part of an old clip to show you what we are expecting, which is typical for this region. Those Nor’Easters really pack a wallop with hurricane force wind gusts, white-out blizzard conditions, and plenty of snow. Several days of well below zero (degrees F) temperatures are also something to recon with.

This ain’t the Florida Keys, folks!
